“Helping students sit better, learn better, and feel included”

School seating for focus, comfort, and participation

We visit your school to see how children sit and learn during classes — while writing, reading, and joining group activities. We assess classroom chairs, desks, and wheelchairs, and adjust cushions, straps, footrests, and desk heights so posture stays upright and stable throughout the school day. This helps improve breathing, concentration, and hand control, allowing students to stay attentive and engaged for longer periods.

A well-supported classroom posture reduces fatigue, supports better handwriting and eye-hand coordination, and helps children participate more easily in lessons. We guide teachers and assistants on simple daily positioning habits that maintain comfort and stability, while reducing the risk of pressure areas or postural changes over time.

During the visit we fine-tune desk and seat alignment, adjust back and foot support, and provide practical advice for classroom setups and safe transfers. We also prepare a simple written seating plan so that the setup can be maintained consistently by school staff after the visit.

Classroom posture support for confident learning

We work directly in the classroom to make sure every child’s seating supports comfort, attention, and inclusion. From the first chair to the last desk in the row, we look at how posture affects handwriting, communication, and energy levels through the day. Small adjustments can turn an uncomfortable setup into one that helps children sit tall, breathe freely, and stay focused.

Our approach blends therapy principles with practical school routines. We observe classroom activities, note where students struggle to maintain posture, and adapt desks, chairs, or wheelchairs so their body is balanced and supported. This gives students better control for writing, drawing, and technology use, while reducing fatigue and fidgeting.

After each visit, we leave teachers and support staff with a simple action plan — clear positioning tips, safe transfer guidance, and a summary of the adjustments made. The result is a classroom where every child can learn with greater comfort, confidence, and independence.

How a School Visit Works

We observe and assess
We begin inside the classroom, watching how students sit and learn during lessons. We check desk and chair heights, wheelchair positioning, footrests, and table access while noting posture, comfort, and attention levels throughout typical school activities.

We adjust and guide
Desks, chairs, or wheelchairs are set to match each student’s body size and learning needs. We balance trunk and pelvis alignment, add or fine-tune foot and arm supports, and ensure that writing and reading positions are stable and efficient. Small changes can make a big difference in focus and energy.

We train and leave a plan
Teachers and assistants learn simple daily adjustments and posture checks that keep students comfortable and safe. We leave a short written seating plan describing the correct setup and positioning, so classroom staff can maintain it consistently through the term.

What we adjust at school

We optimise classroom seating by aligning desk and chair height, adjusting back and foot support, positioning wheelchairs and cushions for upright posture, and refining writing or reading angles. We also look at group-activity seating, therapy or computer stations, and transitions between classroom and transport. All recommendations are practical, achievable within school settings, and focused on student comfort and participation.
