“Standing solutions that support posture, participation, and daily independence.”
Standing & positioning (Prone Stander)
Prone standing for active posture and participation
We assess how each child or adult benefits from forward-leaning supported standing — improving posture, balance, and engagement during play, therapy, or daily routines. The prone stander supports the front of the body, encouraging active head and trunk control while maintaining proper alignment and breathing comfort.
Our team fine-tunes chest pads, pelvic supports, knee blocks, and footrests to create a balanced upright position that reduces tone and increases joint range. This posture helps develop muscle strength, visual orientation, and upper-limb use for tasks such as writing, reaching, or communication.
During the visit, we train caregivers or school staff on correct positioning, tilt adjustments, and daily standing schedules. We also provide a written setup plan with all measurements and angles, ensuring the stander remains safe, comfortable, and effective for long-term use.
Standing & positioning (Supine Stander)
Supine standing for stability, safety, and gradual weight-bearing
We assess how individuals maintain posture and comfort while supported from behind — ideal for users who require more trunk or head control assistance. The supine stander supports alignment from the back, offering safe, gradual weight-bearing while improving circulation, digestion, and bone health.
We adjust the back angle, lateral supports, knee pads, and harness systems to achieve secure yet comfortable positioning. This setup promotes relaxation and helps users experience upright posture safely, without excessive effort or fatigue.
During the fitting, we demonstrate easy adjustment methods and safe transfer techniques. Caregivers receive a step-by-step guide with angle settings, daily standing goals, and safety checks, ensuring consistent and confident use at home, school, or therapy environments.
How a Standing & Positioning Visit Works
We assess and observe
We start by understanding posture, tone, and mobility while the user is standing or preparing to stand. We check how much support is needed at the chest, pelvis, knees, and feet to achieve safe, upright alignment without discomfort. The goal is to promote functional standing that helps with breathing, bone strength, and circulation.
We adjust and personalize
Our team sets up the stander—prone, supine, or multi-position—to match the individual’s body measurements and medical needs. We adjust tilt angles, padding, straps, and supports to encourage proper hip extension and head alignment. For children, we allow room for growth and posture development; for adults, we focus on stability and long-term endurance.
We guide and document
Caregivers and therapists are trained on daily standing routines, safe transfers, and how to monitor posture over time. We leave a detailed setup sheet listing the correct tilt range, support placement, and time targets for standing sessions—making it easy to maintain comfort and safety at home, school, or therapy settings.
What we adjust in standers
We optimise the full setup of prone and supine standers—including chest, pelvic, and knee support positions; harness and strap tension; tray height; and footrest alignment. We also adjust tilt and recline angles for gradual weight-bearing, ensuring proper hip and spine alignment. Accessories such as lateral pads, headrests, and tray surfaces are fitted for comfort and functional use. Each configuration is customised to balance posture, safety, and user engagement during therapy or daily routines.
